After launching Janhvi Kapoor and Ishaan Khattar with Dhadak in 2018, Karan Johar is set for Dhadak 2 with two upcoming talent – Siddhant Chaturvedi and Tripatiti Dimari. The romantic saga was released on August 1, 2025 and is a deep love story like the first part that is set against the backdrop of music. The Shazia Iqbal direction has been certified by U/A by the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) over 2 hours 26 minutes (146 minutes).
The film is watching an all -India release by Zee Studio in consultation with Dharma Productions, and partners have strategically chosen for a restrained release on about 1000 screens. The release is more planned towards urban markets, with the expectation of an increase in weekends based on the audience’s response.
The advance for Dhadak 2 was opened on Wednesday evening, and the response has been on the required lines. The film has sold around 15,000 tickets in the National Chen at 7.00 pm on Thursday and led to the conclusion in the area around 25,000 tickets. The first day trading of Dhadak 2 is expected to be within a range of Rs 3.75 crore to Rs 4.25 crore, and it is expected to capitalize from the beginning and increase in the weekend.
