The makers of Deva released the trailer of the film at a grand event in Mumbai on Friday. Starring Shahid Kapoor in the lead role, it brings the actor back to his action-thriller genre on the lines of Kaminey (2009). Except this time, he’s not a criminal, but a cop.

Shahid’s Deva looks extremely scary in the trailer, who has only one motto in life: complete freedom. The video starts with Deva explaining how it all started. The audience is told how Deva lost her brother to ‘the system’ when someone shot him dead during a function during their childhood. As the trailer progresses, we see Deva doing his thing, killing people in the name of justice and working in full rebel mode.

In one scene of the video, Deva’s superior tells him about an article and asks if he is ‘police or mafia’. In the very next scene, we see Deva telling a goon ‘I am…mafia’, I am the only hero in this world.
