Denzel Washington on Paul Mescal’s performance: He’s his own gladiator
Hollywood star Denzel Washington recently spoke about Paul Mescal and Pedro Pascal’s performances in Gladiator 2 and called them brilliant.
Hollywood star Denzel Washington couldn’t stop praising his Gladiator 2 co-stars Paul Mescal and Pedro Pascal in a recent interview. He even called Paul his ‘own gladiator’.
Speaking to Variety, Denzel Washington said, “Well, no. Great. Both of them. It’s hard to understand, and Paul pulled it off. He’s a gladiator himself. I didn’t have to do anything else (holds up little finger and drinks water). That was my job. Just swirl the glass, swirl the cup, and whatever I was holding in the other hand. And make sure I didn’t step on my gown.”
In the same interview, Washington teased the next chapter of Gladiator 2 and promised big things for the film, “Massive! Ridiculously big!”.
This grand cinematic endeavor also stars Mescal, Pascal and Washington alongside Joseph Quinn, Fred Hechinger, Lior Raz, Derek Jacobi, Connie Nielsen and Denzel Washington. With such an impressive cast, ‘Gladiator 2’ promises to deliver an epic continuation of the beloved saga.
The film will release in Indian theatres on November 15 and will be available in 4DX and IMAX formats in English, Hindi, Tamil and Telugu.
