See our Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra Review for our thoughts on Samsung’s latest rigorous flagship. It is the largest of the bunch, but it is the only one with dual telephoto cameras (including 50MP 5x periscope), an anti-reflexor gorilla armor 2 and a performance with a pen support (even though air gestures are not available).

Samsung Galaxy S25 finally upgraded to 12GB RAM – S24 was the last Samsung flagship to come with only 8GB RAM. Unfortunately, Samsung did not compete with base storage, so 128GB is still the base. This makes free storage upgrade more valuable – you can live with 256GB, but 128GB is very tight.

12/256GB – € 900 on Amazon Day
If the S25 series looks boring, you can switch to a foldable phone – Galaxy Z Flip6 matches Vanilla S25 at € 900 for 12/256GB phones. Except this is a flip form factor with a large cover display, which can change the way you use your phone.
Or you can get Motorola Razr 50 Ultra for € 100 less – it comes with a single 512GB storage. The Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 of the Z Flip6 and the 8s of RAZR’s 8S General 3 is not a match for the new elite chip in terms of performance, which is something to keep in mind. Moto has a 50mp 47 mm telephoto camera instead of an ultra wide, which is a bit unusual but not necessarily a bad thing.

Motorola Edge 50 is larger than Neo S25 – 154.1 x 71.2 x 8.1 mm and 171g vs 146.9 x 70.5 x 7.2 mm and 162g. However, you get a slightly larger 6.4 “display, a Ltpo panel with 10-bit colors (Galaxy has an 8-bit display) and a high pixel density. The 4,310mAh battery is slightly larger and with a very fast 68W wired charging plus 15W wireless (vs 4,000mAh, 25W/15W). Even you get a 10MP 73 mm telephoto to go against Galaxy’s 10MP 67 mm. The phone has also been rated IP68, similar to Samsung.
Ok, well, Demistance 7300 chipset under Snapdragon 8 Elite is two league. But the cost of Edge 50 Neo is only one-third which is the cost of the Galaxy S25.
