This week we’ll be taking a look at a grab bag of phones, focusing mostly on high-end devices, although there are a few mid-rangers in there too.
The Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra is $50 less than last week. One UI 9 beta is already available for testing (based on Android 17) – the US is one of the few regions where Samsung conducts early testing. The new version will bring accessibility improvements, new security features, better controls for the quick panel, etc.

It’s too early to officially “save the date”, but we expect the next generation of Galaxy foldables to be announced on July 22. This means the Galaxy Z Flip7 is being replaced soon, although you can’t tell exactly what its price is – it’s a $200 discount, which is the same as two weeks ago and also the same as in early April.

The cheaper Samsung Galaxy Z Flip7 FE kind of disappeared after its launch. It’s still around, it’s just not in the limelight – but if you want a cheap clamshell foldable and it has to be Samsung, this is the one. The launch price was quite ambitious – $1,000 for the 256GB model – but the $400 discount makes it more palatable.

The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold7 is also heavily discounted, to $350, though that offsets its higher base price a bit. Maybe wait a few months and see if the rumored Galaxy Z Wide is a better fit for you.

Last week, Motorola’s new Flip foldables were still on pre-order – they go on sale this week, however, supplies appear to be limited as only a few color options are showing as “in stock.” It’s on Amazon – check out the Motorola US offer, which includes a free Moto Buds 2 Plus and Moto Tag.

For our money, last year’s Motorola Razr Ultra 2025 is still worth getting if you’re going with the Moto clamshell.

The Samsung Galaxy A37 is $75 off – it’s the same discount as last week, but we wanted to highlight it because this cheap phone won our selfie video blind test. We call it “cheap” because some of its competitors cost six times as much (said competitors include the S26 Ultra).

If you want to take a break from the big smartphone brands, the OnePlus 15 and OnePlus 15R are currently $50 off. Granted, it’s not much, but both of these were already priced competitively.

Another alternative brand for the US market is Nothing. The Nothing Phone (4A) Pro is currently $50 off but only for the base 128GB model. At these prices, you’re better off with the Nothing Phone (3) – while it was never a flagship, it has higher-end hardware than the (4a) Pro.

Finally, Sony introduced its new premium over-ear headphones this week, the Sony 1000X The Collection (the company assures us it’s called “The Collection”). We have a pair for review and will report soon on how they compare to older generations like the XM6 and XM5. Speaking of which, they’re both on sale.
