Prime Day may be behind us, but there are still some great offers ahead – with and without Prime.

Right now, you can get 20% off at checkout when you purchase a Galaxy S24+ or S24 Ultra. The Galaxy S24 Ultra in particular has an 11% discount for the 512GB model – this makes the 512GB model cost less than the 256GB model. For reference, the 512GB S24 Ultra costs £1,050 during the Prime Day deal.

There is no additional discount on the Samsung Galaxy S24+, there is only 20% off which you will see during the checkout process. That’s why we’ve linked both the 12/256GB and 12/512GB variants below, but with only £80 between them, you may want to grab the 512GB variant anyway.

The S24 offer is available to everyone, now here’s something for Prime customers – they can get 14% off the Xiaomi 14T and 14T Pro with code PRIME14.

The Xiaomi 14T features the same 6.67” 1220p+ 12-bit 144Hz OLED display as its Pro sibling. It is powered by the Dimensity 8300 Ultra and a 5,000mAh battery with 67W wired-only charging. It has a 50MP main camera (1/1.56”, OIS), a 50MP 50mm portrait cam (2x) and a 12MP ultra-wide (15mm), as well as a 32MP selfie camera.

The Xiaomi 14T Pro brings flagship power with the Dimensity 9300+ chipset and better charging options for its 5,000mAh battery – 120W wired and 50W wireless. The camera is more capable, with a larger 1/1.31” 50MP sensor for the main and a slightly longer 60mm lens (2.6x) for the 50MP tele (the 12MP ultra-wide and 32MP selfie cameras are the same).

Apple suddenly refreshed the iPad mini – the previous model was three years old at this point and not ready for the computational demands of AI. That’s the main difference, the iPad mini (2024) uses the Apple A17 Pro chip (from last year’s iPhone 15 Pro) and double the RAM (8GB), so it can support Apple Intelligence.

There are some other changes like doubling the base storage to 128GB and adding support for Wi-Fi 6E (up from the regular 6), but that’s about it. Still, there are basically no mini flagship tablets out there – the iPad mini stands alone. Note that shipping of the tablet will begin on Wednesday.

Amazon unveiled its first color Kindle e-reader. The Kindle ColorSoft Signature Edition features a 7-inch e-paper display that achieves 300 ppi pixel density when showing black-and-white content and 150 ppi for color content. This is great for reading comic books (ComiXology is natively supported) or highlighting text with different colors. However, it’s not cheap at £270.

If you’re planning on sticking with the good old black over white print, check out the new Kindle Paperwhite. It is available in Regular (16GB) and Signature edition (32GB). The Signature Edition adds wireless charging and a light sensor that automatically adjusts for warm front light. Note that ColorSoft is only available as a Signature Edition and has the same features. The Paperwhite (including the vanilla version) and ColorSoft are waterproof (IPX8) and have a front light with adjustable color temperature.

The regular Paperwhite is much cheaper than the Colorsoft, but you can buy one even cheaper with the new vanilla Kindle. Its screen is smaller (6″ vs. 7″), but just as sharp – both panels have 300ppi pixel density and this generation has improved contrast. The reason to get the Paperwhite is the bigger screen and IPX8 rating, but whether they’re worth the extra £65 is up to you.

Amazon has also upgraded the Kindle Scribe. It focuses on reading documents and taking notes with its large 10.2” display (300ppi, B&W). It has added new AI features that can clean up your handwriting, convert it into digital text, and summarize it into bullet points.
