Earning Rs 44.50 crore at the Indian box office. The quirky comedy entertainer starring Ajay Devgan, Rakul Preet Singh, R Madhavan, Gautami Kapoor, Meezaan Jaffrey and Javed Jaffrey is not performing as per its brand value and sequel factor.
As of now, the trends are similar to its parent film, with a nominal decline. Ideally, the film should have taken a better start and registered good trends at the box office, but it is turning out to be another generic sequel. De De Pyaar De 2 grossed around Rs. 5 in its opening week. 46 crores, but this is not enough for the cost and cast involved in the project.
The film has a good chance of gaining popularity for the next two weeks as there are no important releases till Dhurandhar which can impact it. However, the performance of the film is weak.
