Karan Johar is not just a great filmmaker but also a father of two kids- Yash and Roohi. On the occasion of Daughters Day, the Deewaar producer shared the cutest video celebrating this special day.
Today, on September 22, Karan Johar took to his Instagram handle and posted an adorable video of his little ones Yash and Roohi. They are seen sitting in front of a delicious chocolate cake with their names written on it.
The filmmaker behind the camera was heard saying, “Okay so we are celebrating daughter and son’s day.” In response, Karan’s daughter who was holding a spoon in her hand sweetly expressed her wish and said, “I want you to be my grandfather every day.” Happy with this, Karan replied, “I am your grandfather every day” and then Karan turned the camera towards his son who kept it short and said, “Ditto” to which Karan was surprised and he said, “God!!”

The post was accompanied by a heartwarming caption, which read, “Equality… something I strongly believe in… and something my progressive and liberal mother instilled in me… My father was also a proud feminist… He may not have been able to fully understand or express the phenomenon of empowerment, but his actions reiterated his core beliefs…”
He further added, “At a very young age I have tried to inculcate that value system as a parent! We all wear pink! We all wear blue! We tie each other rakhis on the auspicious day of Raksha Bandhan and we celebrate sons and daughters every day… We try… which is all any parent can do… but small steps can bring about a full-blown moral change in our emotional ecosystem…. here’s to compassion and human empathy!”
On the professional front, Karan is awaiting the release of his South venture, Devraa: Part 1, starring Jr NTR and Janhvi Kapoor. Also in the pipeline is Sunny Sanskari’s Tulsi Kumari, starring Janhvi Kapoor and Varun Dhawan, to be produced under his production banner.
