Dangal actress Zaira Wasim suggests people to ‘check twice before purchasing items from local bakeries’ after mould was found in her cake

Former actress Zaira Wasim recently visited a cafe in Jammu and Kashmir where she ordered pie to eat. But contrary to her expectation, the dessert left a bitter taste in her mouth. Some time ago, she took to her social media to express her concern after finding blandness in her pie.

The clip shows a close-up of a piece of food bought from a local cafe in Srinagar. In the caption, Zaira Wasim wrote, “People, check twice before eating stuff from the local bakery. The pie has gone mouldy.”

The Dangal actress may have worked for a very short period in the Hindi film industry. However, the three films in which she showcased her talent received praise and appreciation from audiences and critics alike.

She made her film debut with the biographical sports film Dangal alongside actors such as Aamir Khan, Fatima Sana Shaikh, Sanya Malhotra, Suhani Bhatnagar, Sakshi Tanwar and Aparshakti Khurana. At the 64th National Film Awards, Zaira won the Best Supporting Actress award for her role as the younger version of wrestler Geeta Phogat.

Earlier, in an interview with Pinkvilla, the former actress had revealed that when she won the National Award, her father had no idea. She revealed, “It took me 2 hours to explain what a National Award is and even then he didn’t think it was a big deal. But when I was actually there and receiving it, my parents were really proud.”

The next year, i.e. in 2017, she worked again with Mr. Perfectionist in a musical drama film called Secret Superstar. This film based on many social issues was highly appreciated by cinema lovers. After this, her last film The Sky Is Pink came, starring Priyanka Chopra and Farhan Akhtar. In this emotional biographical film, Wasim played the role of Ayesha Chaudhary, a girl suffering from a serious illness.

This 2019 film was his last film in Bollywood, soon after which he announced his retirement from the film industry citing religious reasons. He also requested his fans to remove all his photos from social media and help him start a new chapter.
