The ongoing wildfires in Los Angeles have not only affected the people who live in the county, but also affected the events that were highly anticipated for this year. One such event that has been delayed following the disaster is the Critics’ Choice Awards.
According to Variety, the aforementioned awards ceremony has now been delayed to February 7, 2025. In the meantime, it’s important to know that the event will still be held at the Barker Hangar in Santa Monica. According to the outlet, the host, Chelsea Handler, is still on board to lead the show, impressing viewers.
For those who don’t know, the event was earlier scheduled to be held on January 12, 2025. However, due to the same wildfires that have terrified Los Angeles residents, it was postponed to a later date, January 26, 2025. The much awaited awards ceremony will now be held in the month of February.
For those curious to watch the Critics’ Choice Awards event, you can tune in to E! Will broadcast live. The same program will then be made available on Peacock the next day, allowing domestic and international viewers to enjoy the event.
Speaking of hosts, the This Means War actress and comedian is set to lead the stage at the Critics’ Choice Awards, which will not only balance the festivities but also honor the tough times going on.
In addition to the Critics’ Choice Awards, some other major events that have been delayed are the American Cinematheque Tribute to the Crafts at the Egyptian Theater in Hollywood, the Universal Party with Donna Langley at Sunset Tower, the AARP Movies for BAFTA Tea and the Grownup Awards.
Even the American Film Institute Awards luncheon has been rescheduled to a new date, which will now be held on February 6, 2025.
