Cool, starring Rajinikanth in the lead role, has been slated to release in theaters on August 14, 2025. Next to the film Hitting Big Screen, the superstar was seen in an extraordinary event, called Kully Anasold.
Rajinikanth credited Lokesh Kanagarj as the ‘true hero’ of the porter
Speaking at the event in Chennai, Rajinikanth said, “The true hero of the coolie is none other than the director Lokesh Kanagarj. He has successfully done the sky-high expectations for the film, which was made purely systematically.”
The superstar said, “The most successful commercial director worked with me, and with a stellar star cast, he created a storm.”
Additionally, Rajinikanth appreciated how great Nagarjuna Akini looks. The jailer star said, “What is the color of Nagarjuna’s skin and what color. I have lost my hair too. Once, I asked Nagarjuna what the secret was behind his body, and he just said – nothing sir. Just exercise.” (Translated from Tamil).
Rajinikanth remembers his early days working as a porter
Continuing his speech, Rajinikanth recalled his early days acting as a porter. The actor highlighted how he used to scold several times during those days.
Telling a story of those days, Rajinikanth said, “One day a man asked me to take one goods in his tempo and gave me 2 rupees for it.
He said, “At that moment, he ridiculed me and said, ‘How arrogible you were in those days,” I was making fun of my job. This was the first time I had to cry crying in my life, “he said.
