Costao: Real-Life Hero Costao Fernandes had an emotional response after watching Nawazuddin Siddiqui-LED Zee 5 film

Nawazuddin Siddiqui’s much awaited thriller Costao is ready for its release, and its trailer has already teased an intensive underdog-brain-powerful force story. In a recent conversation, director Sejal Shah revealed that real -life customs officer, Costao Fernandes, on which the story is based, has seen the film. According to him, his emotional response to the film was deep, as he was visually touched and even brought tears from what he saw.

In a conversation with diversity, director Sejal Shah shared that Real Costao Fernandes had already watched the film and responded positively.

Shah mentioned that Fernandes was transferred deeply by the film, which was overwhelmed at the point of tears. Shah specifically accepted to panic, while Fernandes was watching, even more important than anyone else, made his emotional response more important.

Shah expressed his hope that the audience would connect with many subjects with the film. He said that the major Techwae would realize that bravery is not easy.

He described the story as one of any person who stands to believe in him, stating that it also investigates the subjects of redemption and forgiveness.

Set in the 1990s, Costao takes inspiration from the true story of Costao Fernandes, a courageous customs officer, who bravely took bravery on one of Goa’s most influential smuggling network. The film follows his bold, solitary mission, leading to one of the largest gold smuggling operations in the history of India.

Shah, who dedicated about a year to research and shape the story with real Costao Fernandes, said that adopting a true story brought its own set of challenges.

In the same interview, he explained that since most of the events were actually happened, it was not particularly difficult for him to play.

However, he said that when co-writer Bhavesh contributed to dramaticness, he ensured remained loyal to real-life events and did not wander away from what really happened in Fernandes’ life.

The film also stars Priya Bapat, Kishore Kumar ji, Gagan Dev Rir and Hussain Dalal. Directed by Sejal Shah, the crime thriller is produced by Vinod Bhanushaushi, Kamlesh Bhanushali, Bhavesh Mandalia, Sejal Shah, Shyam Sundar and Faizuddin Siddiqui.

Looking further, Nawazuddin Siddiqui shared that he included in several upcoming projects, including Thama, Rat Akili Hai Part 2, and Section 108.
