The exchange fixes the ex-bonus date, after which the stock trades without entitlement to bonus shares. Meanwhile, the record date is the date on which the shareholder must be in order to receive the bonus shares.
HDFC AMC Bonus Issue
The company’s board approved 1:1 bonus shares on October 15 while fixing November 26 as the record date. Under the issue, the company will issue bonus equity shares to the members of the company as on record date in the ratio of 1:1 i.e. 1 new fully paid-up equity share of Rs.5 for 1 fully paid-up equity share of Rs.5.
Shares of HDFC AMC have been on poor turf over the past three months, falling 7% against the Nifty and 4% of the BSE Sensex. However, that 1-year return of 28% remains superior to the returns of both headline indices. While, Nifty has a one-year return of 12%, Sensex has gained 10% in this period.

Thyrocare Technologies Bonus Issue
Thyrocare Technologies, a diagnostic healthcare company, approved a 2:1 bonus issue on October 14, 2025. Under the issue, the company will issue bonus equity shares in the ratio of 2:1 i.e., face value Rs. 2 bonus equity shares of 10 each for 1 equity share of Rs. in all matters.
The deemed date of allotment of bonus shares shall be Monday, December 1, 2025 and the said bonus shares shall be made available for trading on Tuesday, December 2.
Shares of Thyrocare on D-Street have rallied 58% over a 1-year period.
