Coorgi women are beautiful, I am married to one: Vijay’s emotional speech for Rashmika
Vijay Deverakonda’s speech at the Kodagu reception reflected his deep affection for Rashmika Mandanna and her legacy. He talked about his visit to Coorg and his connection with the place.

Actor Vijay Deverakonda gave an emotional speech for Rashmika Mandanna at her reception in Kodagu (Coorg) on April 6. During the programme, he expressed his affection towards the region and shared personal memories of the place. This is the couple’s first visit to Coorg after their wedding in Udaipur on February 26. Apart from celebrating Rashmika’s 30th birthday, she visited Igguthappa Temple in Karnataka.

He mentioned that this was his third visit to Kodagu, recalling that it was the first time he met Rashmika. He said that during the previous visit he had stayed at the house of one of his friends, even though the friend was not present at the reception.
He said, “Next time I come I would like to visit here and see her childhood and life. This is the third time I have come here. The first time I didn’t even know her, with my school friends – Coorg was our first holiday destination. I later found out that I had stayed in one of her friends’ houses (who was not in the programme).”

Vijay spoke warmly about the beauty of Kodagu and described it as a beautiful place, which he fell deeply in love with over time. He also appreciated the women of Kodagu, saying that he always thought they were very beautiful even before he met Rashmika.
He said, “I have become very fond of this place, such a beautiful place. I always thought the women here (Kodagu) were extremely beautiful, even before I met them. I think the Coorg women are very beautiful, and I have married one, and I am very happy. It was good to meet you all and see you here.”
The couple’s Kodagu reception saw family and friends come together and celebrate their union in a traditional atmosphere. On this occasion, Rashmika adopted the local culture and wore a traditional silk saree draped in Kodava style. Vijay Deverakonda opted for a black blazer, white shirt and black trousers.
On the work front, Rashmika and Vijay resumed their work on their third on-screen collaboration, battlefield. The film, directed by Rahul Sankrityayan, is scheduled for a grand release on September 11.
