Earlier this month, the Supreme Court listened to a petition filed by Allahabadia in the case, and joking about the controversy during its live show in Canada. Justice Surya Kant heard the petition and said that the youth today think of him as an ‘older generation’. He did not name Raina, but talked about his Canada show.

“These youths are being overthrown … they think we are probably an older generation … one of them has gone to Canada and talked there … they do not know the jurisdiction that this court likes and maybe what can be done … we don’t want because they are young, we understand,” Justice said.

Raina flew to Canada in February this year and referred to the whole issue by making fun of it on stage. He thanked the audience in Edmonton for paying his ‘legal fees’ by purchasing tickets for the show. One of the audience members wrote a long post of how comedians managed to keep their spirits alive, and entertained the audience despite stress on their face.
