Aamir Khan’s much awaited ‘Sitare Zameen Paar’ was released in theaters on 20 June. In a historic step, the superstar has decided to go to the cinema-cavalry by releasing the OTT release completely. His move has received mixed reviews from the industry, and actor Posonjit Chatterjee admitted that such changes are important.

In a special chat with indiatoday.in, Chatterjee weighed at Aamir Khan’s decision. While he admitted that the need was needed, he also mentioned how Khan’s experience enables him to take such risks.

Talking about Aamir Khan’s ‘only cinema’ approach, Chatterjee said, “He can take a risk. He has been serving the industry for many years, and he understands the pulse and sensations of the audience.”

The Jubilee actor said that while it would not stop the process, someone needed to take a step to start a change. However, he said that there is no good or bad for this method.

“I remember when the material would be sold to CD companies, and it made producers beautifully. However, a year or two later, I realized that the CDs were already in the market in a few days, and the theater business was getting affected. Said.

Chatterjee said that when he talked about the television premiere of films, he saw the same trend. “In three or four weeks, they will start playing Bengali and even Hindi movies on television. So, we stopped it and said to give it after eight weeks. To save the dramatic business and cinema, he (Aamir Khan) is a person who can think in this way or take such a risk.
