Clayface teaser trailer: DC’s terrifying new villain takes shape in deep body horror
DC Studios has unveiled the trailer for Clayface, a gripping psychological horror film that explores the origin story of Batman’s lesser-known villain. The film, featuring Tom Rhys Harries and Naomi Ackie, promises an exciting story for release in October.

Trailer of DC Studios’ most awaited film, clayfacehas been released. The film tells the story of an aspiring actor, played by Tom Rhys Harris, whose face becomes disfigured due to an encounter with a gangster.
In a desperate attempt to reclaim his life, he turns to a scientist, played by Naomi Ackie, who turns him into a clay-like creature. Directed by James Watkins, this body horror film is written by Mike Flanagan and Hossein Amini.

DC Studios co-head James Gunn initially said there were no plans clayface The film changed plans, but Flanagan’s script was one of the best he had read. The film serves as an origin story for a Batman villain similar to Todd Phillips’ Joker, but will be part of the DC Universe.
DC Studios co-head Peter Safran commented at the time clayface He may not be as famous as other villains like The Penguin or The Joker, but his story is just as compelling and terrifying. Gunn said that the film would be true psychological body horror.

The film’s trailer debuted at CinemaCon, showing Matt Hagen, the character played by Harris, in various stages of transformation, highlighting the horror elements of the film.
