Chris reacts to returning as an Oscar host after Rock Slapgate
Actor and comedian Chris Rock, who has previously hosted the Oscar, has not completely denied hosting the upcoming Academy Awards. Rock was earlier at the center of a controversy after actor Will Smith slapped by actor Will Smith in the previous Oscar event.

It has been three years since the Oscar infamous slapgate incident, when actor Will Smith attacked Chris Rock to joke to his wife, Zaida’s hair loss, alopasia. And now, Rock is open about the incident, while reacting to questions about whether he would return as a host.
Speaking at the annual Vanity Fair Oscar Party, Rock shared, “This is what I would say: the most unhappy people on earth are people who cannot forgive. And not just people; you will ever have to forgive yourself. So, hey, you never know.”
Rock further shared, “I live in forgiveness. True love begins in forgiveness.”
The actor-comedian also praised Conan O’Brien’s hosting skills and said, “I felt it is amazing, incredible. They should allow him to host him every year.”
During the 2022 ceremony, for Anward, Rock joked Wil Smith’s wife and actor Jada Pinket Smith about the hair condition, which Smith found aggressive. The actor again climbed the stage and slapped Rock. Later, Smith apologized for his actions. As a result, the academy banned Will Smith from attending any Oscar program for a decade.
