China uses AI to revive 100 classic kung fu films

China is starting an AI-mangoing project to revive 100 classic martial arts films, including Bruce Lee and Jackie Chan, a combination of restoration with modern audiences and innovation for global appeal.

More than 100 classic martial arts are drowning in the future with a bold initiative to revive more than 100 classic martial arts using Chinese Movie Studio Artificial Intelligence.

Unveiled at Shanghai International Film Festival, enterprise digitally Bruce Lee, Jackie Chan and Jet Lee will restore new life -breathed classic films in classic films for modern audiences.

Production, titled “Kung Fu Movie Heritage Project: 100 Classics AI Revitalization Project,” Fist of Fury (1972), Drunk Master (1978), and Once Upon a Time in China (1991) will refer to classics.

The goal is to increase visual, sound and overall quality – without changing original stories or characters.

A standout remake of John Wu is the blockbuster A Better Tumoro (1986), which is being rebuilt as a fully animated, AI-made film. Originally played by Chow Yun-Fat will be rebooted in cyberpank settings. The producers claim that this will be the world’s first fully AI-based animated feature film.

Chaina Film Foundation President Zhang Pimin paid tribute to both the history of cinema and a jump towards the future.

“These films are Ratna,” he said. “AI will make them relevant in a new way to the audience today.”

As reported by the Hollywood reporter, Tian Ming, president of the Shanghai Canxing Culture and Media, said the project would be right for the original, distributing an increased view experience. The project is supported by 100 million yuan budget (about $ 13.9 million).
