It is our heart breaking to share that popular Indian producer Pritish Nandy has left for his heavenly abode after suffering a heart attack on January 8, 2025 in Mumbai. The news of his tragic demise was confirmed by his son, filmmaker Kushan Nandy on screen. Hearing about the demise of the Padma Shri awardee, many B-town celebs took to social media to pay their last tribute to him.
Anupam Kher was one of the first celebs to express his shock on X (formerly Twitter). In his post, the Indian actor-producer-director described Pritish Nandy as his support system and a great source of strength.

Fighter actor Anil Kapoor wrote on his Instagram account that he is deeply saddened by the loss of his dear friend. Kapoor called Nandy a ‘fearless editor, a brave soul and a man of his word’. He added, “I will always miss her presence, her voice, and the fearless spirit she brought to everything she did.”

Buckingham Murders director Hansal Mehta expressed his deepest condolences to the entire family of the departed soul. He also recalled his first meeting with Nandi in 2005 and shared his thoughts about Omerta.

Actor and filmmaker Neil Nitin Mukesh was also saddened to hear about the demise of Pritish Nandy. “My heartfelt condolences to his family, friends and loved ones. May his memory continue to be a blessing and may you find strength in this difficult time. Rest in peace sir,” he wrote in his note.
