His Instagram post read, “From the battlefield to the cell, the untold pain of an Indian soldier, 444 days without my brother! It’s been 1 year, 2 months, 17 days, 443 days, a total of 10,632 hours, 637,920 minutes since my brother, Major Vikrant Kumar Jaitley (Retd.) was kept in touch for eight long days since he was first abducted.” For months, then detained somewhere in the Middle East, my life has become a countdown of fear, hope and unbearable silence.”

It further reads, “I’m waiting to hear his voice, I’m waiting to see his face, I’m scared of what they’ve done to him. I’m scared of it because only I know who he was when he was whole, and I’m scared because I know what he managed to communicate in that last call… A call made only to a number he could still remember. A call that carries more pain than words. A call that takes away from the world There is more truth than I am willing to face, so much terror with each passing second.”

“They have suffered many injuries in the line of duty. They have given their youth, their strength, their minds, their lives to India. They have lived and bled for the flag. As #India is emerging as a global power, our soldiers and #veterans are becoming easy targets abroad. This is no longer just personal, is this way of raising our soldiers and veterans abroad now putting our own national security at risk? We must ask this question. We must demand answers and not turn away,” the actor said. But.

Here is the post:

“We need the same decisive action that was taken in Qatar, I am putting my faith, my life and my hope on our government..that they will bring their soldier back safely. The same action that brought our Navy veterans home. Our soldier deserves no less. No #Indian soldier deserves less. Bring back our soldier. Don’t let this momentum die out. Don’t leave quietly the man who gave everything to this country. We need our Veterans must not be forgotten, we must not let this happen to them, not now, not ever.” He added.

“As my late father, Colonel VK Jaitley (SM) always said, ‘If you want to honor a soldier, be an Indian worth dying for. Brother, I have lost everything to have you…I will not stop, I will not give up until he comes back to his Indian soil, the country for which he sacrificed everything!! Jai Kalika Mata…#IndianArmy,” Celina’s post concluded.

Celina’s brother has reportedly been detained in the UAE for almost a year. In his previous Instagram note, he had prayed for his brother’s well-being.

In another Instagram post, the actor wrote, “I am writing this with utmost gratitude from the gates of the respected Delhi High Court, because after 14 months of hard work, I have finally reached the light at the end of the dark tunnel. You fought for us.” Brother“Now is the time for us to stand behind you.”
