The Israel Defense Forces said Iran has launched a long-range missile capable of a range of about 4,000 kilometers for the first time since the start of “Operation Roaring Lion”, warning that the development poses a broader global threat.“The Iranian terrorist regime launched for the first time a long-range missile … that can reach a range of ~4,000 km,” the military said, adding that such capabilities mean the missiles “could reach London, Paris or Berlin.”
The IDF said it had previously revealed during “Operation Rising Lion” in June 2025 that Iran wanted to develop missiles with a range of 4,000 kilometers, which it said would threaten “dozens of countries in Europe, Asia and Africa.” Iran declined to pursue such capabilities at the time.“We have continued to say this: the Iranian terrorist regime poses a global threat,” the statement said.It said Iran has carried out attacks against 12 countries in the region and continues to develop capabilities that “pose a much broader threat.”This has happened when the conflict continues in the Middle East and both Israel and Iran are attacking each other.
