Brie Larson undergoes dramatic hair change for her upcoming role; see here

Brie Larson has surprised her fans with a new brunette pixie cut ahead of playing Elektra in the upcoming West End production.

The actress will be taking to the stage in London for the first time and her haircut shows her dedication to her work and her lead role in the theater play.

The actress shared pictures of her new look on her social media platforms, and fans of the Marvel star couldn’t stop praising her in the comments section.

“Electra is here,” she captioned the monochrome photo shared by the Hollywood star. While many of the actress’ fans were happy with her new look, many were left surprised as she had posted a picture of herself with long blonde hair just a day earlier.

As for the play, Electra is scheduled to open at the Duke of York’s Theater on February 12 and run through April 5, 2025.

Meanwhile, referring to her character and experience working on the West End show, the actress released a statement in which she revealed, “I would love to perform in this Greek play or better collaborate with Daniel Fish and Anne Carson. Couldn’t be more excited for.” ,

Larson added, “Storytelling has always been a way of organizing my life, emotions and experiences. I look forward to sharing the space with wonderful West End audiences as we explore this timeless story.”

In addition to the MCU actresses, the drama will star Stockard Channing, Maryam Diouf, Greg Hicks, and Patrick Weil.

Electra will be directed by Tony Award nominee Daniel Fish and Anna Carson. Apart from these two, their team also includes Adam Silverman (lighting), Doe Luthi (costume design), and Jeremy Herbert (set design). Kate Godfrey (voice and dialect), Ted Hearn (composer), Max and Ben Ringham (sound design), and Heather Basten were in charge of CDG casting.
