Netflix’s hit Regency-era romance series Bridgerton is returning with Season 4, promising romance, mystery, and engaging period drama. This season will focus on Benedict Bridgerton, played by Luke Thompson, as he navigates heartbreak, self-discovery, and a new romantic journey with Sophie Beck, played by Yerin Ha. The upcoming season is adapted from Julia Quinn’s The Offer and brings new twists to the Bridgerton family’s storylines.
Benedict Bridgerton’s new love story
After exploring the lives of Daphne, Anthony, Colin, and Francesca in the first season, season 4 focuses on Benedict’s love story. Viewers will see his character meet Sophie Beck, a clever maid at a masquerade ball, leading to an enemies-to-lovers romance filled with secrets and mistaken identities.
Luke Thompson shared information about the season with Netflix, saying, “The scripts that (showrunner) Jess (Brownell) and his team have come up with are dynamite. They’re really, really, really exciting.” She also compared the story to the Cinderella story, saying, “You remember being told these stories as a kid – they had magic and romance. It’s really exciting to weave what we know about Bridgerton into that world… It’s a great story, but I hope it’s also really relevant.”
