Bridgerton season 4 production has begun as Netflix teased photos of the stellar cast’s table read, capturing their sizzling chemistry. Lady Whistledown is set to uncover some new scandals as well as welcome this season’s new diamond, Sophie Beck, played by Yerin Ha, who starred as young Kasha in HBO’s Dune: Prophecy series Is.
The popular Netflix series is reportedly set to return for its fourth season in Regency-era London in 2026. Filming has begun on the new season, and both returning actors and newcomers have been called in for a table read as Netflix shared some candid behind-the-scenes footage. The shots provide a glimpse of the festivities to fans, who consider the shoot a joyous holiday tradition.
The carousel of photos was captioned, “Rejoice because ’tis the season of joy and merriment!”.
The upcoming season focuses on Luke Thompson’s character Benedict Bridgerton, leading the character through a story of love and self-discovery. Ha also becomes part of the cast as his romantic counterpart Sophie Beck. She and her co-star struck a casual pose together during the table reading, giving fans a glimpse of their off-screen chemistry.
Ruth Gemmell, who plays Lady Violet Bridgerton; Hannah Dodd, who plays Francesca Bridgerton; And Florence Hunt, who played Hyacinth Bridgerton, made an appearance. Familiar faces also included Adjoa Andoh (Lady Agatha Danbury) and Polly Walker (Lady Portia Featherington), who were also returning once again. In addition, newcomers Katie Leung, who plays Lady Araminta Gun, and Isabella Wei, who plays Posy Lee, also appeared on the table.
Production on Season 4 began in September on the new backlot at Shepperton Studios, UK. Series regulars include Leung, Wei and Michelle Mao along with new recruits such as Rosamund Lee, Emma Naomi and Hugh Sachs.
There’s a lot to look forward to as Bridgerton season 4 changes the scene to the artistic and free-spirited second son, Benedict. Even after witnessing his brothers’ weddings, he is not ready to settle down until he finds himself charmed by a mysterious “Lady in Silver” at a masquerade ball thrown by his mother.
