Unni Mukundan has recently given a large blockbuster with Marco and won all limelights. The Malayalam actor is now ready with his next venture, titled Gate Set Baby. It is being discussed here whether the actor can repeat the super success of Marco with his next entertainment.
In co-intelligent Nikhila Vimal, Kemban Vinod Jose, Shyam Mohan and others in decisive roles, Gate Set Baby is a comedy drama. The film has an important discussion among the audience and is expected to rent well at the box office. However, it will have to meet public expectations to bag a successful dramatic run.
If the film manages to entertain the audience, it has the ability to emerge as the third successful enterprise for Unni Mukundan in a line. For Anwards, his final two release, Gurudan and Marco, were commercially profitable ventures for stakeholders.
Talking about Marco, it grew more than Rs 104 crore at the box office worldwide and became the highest -grossing film of Uni Mukandan’s career. To be the most violent film in Indian cinema, Marco also found its audience outside the state borders. The film grossed over Rs 16.50 crore in the North Indian belt, where it opened with just Rs 1 lakh.
Repeating the super success of Marco will not be an easy task for the set baby, as the comedy drama may probably not attract a large spectrum of the audience outside its boundaries. However, it will see a good opening in its home state. If it manages to bag a clean hit verdict, it will be a second success for the Malayalam film industry this year after Rakhchathram.
