Box Office: James Cameron’s Avatar: Fire and Ash joins Rs 200 crore club, earns Rs 16 crore in third weekend

James Cameron’s latest film, Avatar: Fire and Ash, is performing well at the box office. After the completion of its two weeks Rs. 188.50 crore, Avatar: Fire and Ash made Rs. Earned Rs 16 crore in its third weekend. 6 crores coming on third Sunday. With such performances, the sci-fi action adventure film raked in Rs. 200 crore gross club at Indian box office.

Although the film had a slow opening, it managed to register impressive trends at the box office, making it a clean hit venture in India. Compared to the previous Avatar film, the latest installment fell far short. For the record, the previous film in the franchise, Avatar: The Way of Water, earned around Rs. 465 crores, which is also the highest grossing Hollywood film in India. Avatar: Fire and Ash is looking to wrap up its entire theatrical run under Rs. Gross figure of 250 crores.

Avatar: Fire and Ash has performed best in Tamil Nadu, which has been consistent in the last few years in terms of Hollywood releases in the Christmas/New Year week, be it Mufasa last year or Spider-Man: No Way Home in 2021 or The Way of Water in 2022.
