Box Office: Bollywood aims for a cumulative collection of more than Rs 200 crore for April 2025 release

Since the start of 2025, it has been a modest performance year for the Hindi film industry. Recently concluded in the first quarter, with many exciting films like Chhawa, Alexander, Sky Force, and more. While some of these films were entitled to promote, many were disappointing – both in terms of content and box office performance.

With the beginning of the second quarter, various types of Bollywood movies are scheduled to encourage audiences this month and pull them into theaters. The lineup includes the return of many popular actors, such as Sunny Deol in Jat, Emraan Hashmi in Ground Zero and Sanjay Dutt in Bhootni. Together, these films are expected to increase more than Rs 200 crore at the box office.

Analysis of upcoming Bollywood films in April

In the biggest release of April, for the first time Sunny Deol’s Jat, which marks his return after about two years of Blockbuster Gadar 2. Directed by Gopichand Malinani, JAT is set for a pan-India release on 10 April. With a strong pre-localize buzz, business analysts hope to open in Hindi with Rs 10 crore in Hindi a day.

Next Friday, on April 18, a major box office clash between two big films will show- Aquar Kumar’s Kesari: Chapter 2 and Sanjay Dutt’s The Ghost. Kesari: Chapter 2, a court room drama, R. Madhavan and Ananya Pandey are also there. It is based on the horrific Jaliyanwala Bagh massacre. The release of the film’s delay has only increased its expectations, until the Jat’s speed is overshadhed.

Meanwhile, Sanjay Dutt The Bhootni is a horror-comedy entertainer. Dutt plays the role of a ghostbuster, while Mouni Roy and Palak Tiwari depicted ghosts. Sunny Singh is also included in the lead role in the film. Although horror-comedy is a trending style, the film’s discussion is less, possibly influenced by its struggle with Akshay Kumar starrer.

The April will conclude with the release of the ground Zero, an action thriller led by Emraan Hashmi. In the film, Hashmi plays the role of a BSF officer, and the story revolves around the 2001 Indian Parliament attack. While currently there is a very low pre-of-relief publicity, interest is expected to be constructed as the release date of the April 25 approach.
