Choreographer Bosco Martis recently spoke openly about recognition – or in the absence of it – he got his work on Janhvi Kapoor’s song ‘Chuttamle’ in the Telugu film, ‘Devra Part 1’, including junior NTR. Talking to India today, in particular, Bosco talked about how his name was excluded.

Speaking of the lack of recognition for the song, Bosco clarified, “It’s not that the credit was not given. There was a show that the actor (Janhvi Kapoor) went inside. And the question was asked about a choreographer that he is not on the set.

Bosco explained in detail on the systemic issue of choreographers that it was overshraded after a song was released. “This is still very difficult. You have to be deployed in a different way. Because the choreographer is forgotten after the song is over. Other people are celebrated. Other stars are credited. But still, you will probably see the name of the choreographer when the song is released. The choreographer must be celebrated more as a star.

While reflecting his journey, Bosco shared that his advocacy industry comes after decades. “I can do this after 25 years. Because I have taken some time to do so. I have to be vocal about it so that the next generation enjoys the glory. And there is a lot. It is not like a song and dance. It will all develop. It can probably be old.

He also touched moments of recognition from actors like Akshay Kumar, Vicky Kaushal and Hrithik Roshan. “I think when actor celebrates with you, they cooperate with you; this is that they respect you for what you have done. I don’t think Hrithik has ever cooperated with anyone. He has celebrated me in such a way that he has shown real respect and acknowledgment about what I have done for him.
