Border 2 is registering good pre-sales at the box office. The military action drama directed by Anurag Singh sold around 36,000 tickets across the top two national chains, PVRinox and Cinepolis, on the first day of advance release. By tomorrow morning sales will touch the figure of 40,000. Hopefully the progress of the film will increase closer to the release, possibly from tomorrow.
Although the numbers are good, expectations were quite high considering the legacy of the Border franchise and the nostalgia associated with it. The way the sales started yesterday, it seemed like the Sunny Deol starrer would aim for 200-250K final sales in the national chains, but now 150K seems more probable. In comparison, Gadar 2 had sold 274K tickets in the national chains.

This film directed by Sunny Deol is expected to take an opening in the 30s. According to Pinkvilla Predicts, Borders is targeting an opening around Rs 2. 30 crores to Rs. 37 crores, with an accurate forecast of Rs. Earning 32 crores at Indian box office.
Apart from Sunny Deol, the much-awaited war action drama stars Diljit Dosanjh, Varun Dhawan, Ahan Shetty, Mona Singh, Sonam Bajwa, Medha Rana, Anya Singh and others. Backed by Nidhi Dutta and Bhushan Kumar, Border 2 is one of the biggest films of Hindi cinema this year.
