Border 2, directed by Anurag Singh and starring Sunny Deol, Varun Dhawan, Diljit Dosanjh and Ahan Shetty, has registered a good run at the box office. It is estimated that the film will collect around Rs 10 crore. Earned Rs 1.65 crore on third Wednesday, taking the total earning to Rs. Earning Rs 297 crore at the Indian box office.
The film will cross the crore mark. It crossed the Rs 300 crore mark on its fourth Friday, facing Shahid Kapoor’s O’Romeo and Adarsh Gourav starrer Tu Ya Main. The new release will also impact the box office performance of Border 2. However, it is expected to trend well at lower levels. Based on current trends, the overall gross of the military action drama is expected to be around Rs. 305 crore nett in India.
This Sunny Deol starrer film has already emerged as a clean hit venture. At one point, it even looked to have the potential to become a super hit or blockbuster, but the film recorded mediocre trends on weekdays, limiting its performance at the box office. It has performed better in the northern circuit, where Rajasthan is close to a blockbuster while Delhi UP and East Punjab have done super hit business. Border 2 has emerged as Hindi cinema’s first major success of 2026. It is the second highest grossing film for Sunny Deol and the career best of the rest of the cast.
Now all eyes are on its capture on Valentine’s weekend. Let’s see if the film sees another surge this weekend or will it surrender to O’Romo.
