Border 2 earned Rs. Collected. It earned around Rs 10.25 crore on Thursday and with this it made its first week at the Indian box office at Rs. But closed. 206.25 crores. The film crossed the Rs crore mark. It reached second place with earnings of Rs 200 crore on the seventh day of its release. 200 crore film for Sunny Deol and the first for the remaining three co-stars Varun Dhawan, Diljit Dosanjh and Ahan Shetty.
The film took a good start on Friday last week but actually earned on its own over the weekend, saw a huge jump in business on Sunday and then peaked on Republic Day holiday on Monday. That extraordinary trend over those four days meant that the film could touch new heights going forward, but business declined on Tuesday and fell further on Wednesday. The decline on Thursday was also slightly greater, but closer to 15 percent of normal.
Unlike Gadar 2, Border 2 is driven by multiplexes and big centres. Small centers have done well, but it is not an outlier like Gadar 2. The film has performed best in the northern circuit, Delhi-UP, East Punjab and Rajasthan, which has traditionally been the Deols’ stronghold. Mumbai had a slow start, picked up over the weekend and dropped again during the week. The Southern and Eastern Circuits are relatively short, but this is normal for Deols. There has been a poor performance in Gujarat, which could have done much better, like it did for Gadar 2, but it didn’t.
Looking ahead, the film has a fairly clean second week with Mardaani 3 not being able to give it much resistance, especially because that film has limited traction in the northern circuit, where Border 2 is overindexed. Business will be good today and then growth will be seen during the weekend. It is expected that the film will cross the Rs 10 crore mark. 300 crore net profit in full period, with strong hold at Rs. Can reach. 325 crore nett. Recently, movies were going above Rs. 500 crore net or Rs. Not even. 300 million. Border 2 will be a rare film in this crore. 200 crore window. The film is a hit and should be a superhit.
