Border 2 box office collection: Sunny Deol, Varun Dhawan, Diljit Dosanjh and Ahan Shetty starrer collects Rs 60 lakh on fourth Monday

Border 2, starring Sunny Deol in the lead alongside Varun Dhawan, Diljit Dosanjh and Ahan Shetty, recorded its lowest day of theatrical performance on the fourth Monday. Estimates suggest that the film made Rs. 55 lakh to Rs. 60 lakhs yesterday, taking the total to Rs. 301.35 crores.

Directed by Anurag Singh, the military action drama is now in its final stages. Based on current trends, the film is heading to end around Rs. 305 crore nett in India. This would be a good total, however, it falls far short of the theatrical performance of Sunny Deol’s Gadar 2. Border 2 performed well over the weekend but could not maintain the same momentum on weekdays. If the film had registered similar momentum on weekdays, it might have come close to the lifespan of Gadar 2.

Nevertheless, Border 2 emerged as a clean hit venture. The film has performed better in the northern circuits, where Rajasthan is close to a blockbuster, while Delhi-UP and East Punjab have done super hit business. Poor performance has come to light in Gujarat and Central Circuit of CPCI, due to which Sunny Deol’s film could have been expected to perform strongly, but it did not happen.

The box office collection of Border 2 in India is as follows:

Day net
week one Rupee. 210.00 crores.
week two Rupee. 64.50 crores.
week three Rupee. 22.00 crores.

fourth friday Rupee. 0.75 crore.
fourth saturday Rupee. 2.00 crores.
fourth sunday Rupee. 1.50 crores.
fourth monday Rupee. 0.60 crore. (EST.)

Total Rupee. 301.35 crores.
