In an exclusive interview with India Today, actress Medha Rana opened up about dealing with trolls and criticism and revealed that she leans on Varun Dhawan’s advice to let her work speak for her more than anything else.

Actress Medha Rana has opened up about dealing with online chatting and how she takes inspiration from them border 2 Co-star Varun Dhawan when it comes to dealing with criticism.
In an exclusive conversation with India Today, Medha said that she strongly connected with Varun’s recent comments about letting the work speak for itself.
Medha, who plays Varun’s on-screen wife in the war dramaTalked about the negative PR and online trolling surrounding the actor. She said, “I completely agree with what Varun said recently that he believes in letting the work speak. I come from the same ideology. Whatever you want to do, there is always noise and chatter around it, no matter what stage you are in or how big the project is. There will always be people who like it and there will be people who don’t like it; you just can’t please everyone. It’s a fact of life.”
Medha said that learning to ignore the noise and stay focused on the work has been important for her.
She told us, “I think it’s wise to block out the noise, focus on your work and let it speak for itself. I’m like her and I’m also learning from her how to take things in my stride, come out strong and let the work speak for itself.”
However, the actor admitted that the negativity of social media affects him sometimes.
She said, “I’m not going to lie, the noise of social media affects me. We live in a time where social media has become very important, especially in the industry we’re in. Our presence matters to an extent, and good, bad, negative and ugly things are written about people. These things leave an impact, especially on someone who is new to the industry.”
He said that over time he has learned not to take online criticism personally. Medha added, “I’ve tried to understand that negativity often comes from a place of insecurity, from the person writing it. It has nothing to do with me or my work; it’s about their own frustration and journey. I’m learning how to separate myself from it and not let it affect me.”
