Blackbuck controversy: Case averted; Manufacturers say censor submission will happen after Monday
The Delhi High Court postponed Salman Khan’s plea against the makers of Kala Hiran till Monday after he assured the court that there would be no release or CBFC submission till then. The case now focuses on claims of violation of Khan’s personality rights and the producers’ recording venture.

Actor Salman Khan’s petition against the producers of the upcoming film black deer Came for hearing in Delhi High Court on Friday. The matter has now been postponed to Monday after the filmmakers assured the court that neither the film nor its trailer would be released before then.
During the hearing, the film producers’ counsel informed the court that only a teaser of the film has been released so far. The lawyer said that a detailed reply will be filed on Salman Khan’s petition and stressed that the film has not been released yet.

The counsel for the filmmakers also assured the court that they will not submit the film to the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) for certification till Monday.
Justice Jyoti Singh said that if the filmmakers are sure that the film will not be released in the coming days, then they should put that statement on record. The court asked the lawyer to take instructions from his client and return with a clear position.
After taking instructions, the lawyer of the film producers told the court that Salman Khan has not made CBFC a party in the case. The lawyer argued that no film can be released without a CBFC certificate and pointed out black deer Has not yet been submitted for certification.
“We will not send it to the CBFC till Monday,” the lawyer assured the court.

The high court said the filmmakers’ reply has now been brought on record and directed that the matter be listed for hearing on Monday.
Earlier in the proceedings, Salman Khan’s lawyer argued that the filmmakers should at least give a formal statement before the court that the film will not be released. The lawyer described the case as involving alleged violation of the personality rights of the actor and sought interim protection.
After this the court recorded the statement of the filmmakers that they would not submit the film to CBFC before Monday. The court also accepted the undertaking while fixing the next hearing.
Salman Khan has approached the court against the makers black deer. More details of the dispute are expected to emerge during the hearing of the case next week.
