Bigg Boss Telugu season is ready for premiere on Star Ma and Gehotstar on 9 September 2025. It is the seventh time that Nagarjuna will play the role of the host since the launch of the show.

For those unknown people, this season of Bigg Boss Telugu will be a mixture of celebrities and common people. Because of this, Shourners have decided to organize a digital pre-show called Bigg Boss Agnipriksha.
The show will be 40 common people who compete against each other for a place in Bigg Boss Telugu. August 23, 2025 is said to start pre-show streaming.
According to Hindustan Times, Bigg Boss Agnipriksha has started shooting in Hyderabad, and contestants will compete in special tasks. Top 3 contestants will be crowned the winners and will proceed to the Bigg Boss Telugu House with celebrities.
The makers of Bigg Boss Telugu have already created a set for the 9th season at Annapuran Studio, where the original show will be shot for 3 months.
On a side note, Mohanlal-Host Bigg Boss Malayalam season 7 recently began their broadcast, where common people have been part of the show last season.
What is the salary of Nagarjuna Akini?
According to Ottplay, Nagarjuna Akineni is taking a salary of Rs 30 crore for his time as a host on the show. However, there is no official update about the same.
Although the list of contestants has been finalized so far, many notable names, including actor-director Parmeshwar Hivre, classical dancer Naga Durga Guuta, actress Rithu Chaudhary, and comedian Jabardian Jabardath Emmanuel, which are among others.
Bigg Boss 8 Telugu
Bigg Boss Telugu season 8 (aka Bigg Boss 8: Limitless) was hosted last season organized by Nagarjuna. The show, which started on 1 September 2024, was its grand finale on 15 December 2024.
The last season was Nikhil Maliyakkal as the winner, which was Rs 55 lakh as prize money with a car.
