Bhumi Pednekar has opened up about the turmoil surrounding the lady KillerCalled it one of the most heartbreaking phases of his career. The actor revealed that the film that released in theaters was incomplete and very different from what he had originally signed, admitting that the failure left him traumatized and struggling to recover professionally.

She said, “The script we read was complete, but a large part of it was never filmed. What was released was an incomplete film. I wish I knew better – maybe if I was part of the system, I could have done things differently. I was in shock. I kept wondering what was happening because nothing like this had ever happened before. Eventually, I told myself it was a learning.”

Bhumi shared that the version that reached theaters was far from the film the actors had initially agreed upon. A large portion of the script was not filmed, causing the project to diverge from its original vision. She admitted that she was surprised when the producers decided to release the film despite the missing segments.

This experience had a deep impact on him personally and professionally, making it difficult to understand what had happened.

She said, “It was a very heartbreaking time in my life. I thought I was finished. I didn’t know how to get over it. The film also struggled to secure an OTT platform and was eventually released for free on YouTube.
