Actress Tabu is all set to reunite with Akshay Kumar and ace director Priyadarshan for her upcoming project, Bhoot Bangla. Following his recent work in Dune Prophecy, the versatile actor revealed that he has been cast in the much-awaited horror-comedy. On Saturday, Tabu got fans excited about the new collaboration by sharing a glimpse of her first day on the sets.

The trio is best remembered for their iconic work in the cult classic Hera Pheri. Tabu on Saturday shared a picture of a clapboard with candles placed in the foreground. The clapboard read, “Balaji Telefilms Limited Presents Bhoot Bangla.” Captioning the post he wrote, “we are locked here (We are stuck here).”

Directed by Priyadarshan, Bhoot Bangla is produced by Shobha Kapoor, Ekta R Kapoor and Akshay Kumar’s production house, Cape of Good Films. The film is co-produced by Fara Shaikh and Vedant Bali. The story is written by Aakash A Kaushik and screenplay by Rohan Shankar, Abhilash Nair and Priyadarshan. Dialogues are by Rohan Shankar.

According to reports, Vamika Gabbi has joined Akshay’s film. Bhoot Bangla is a horror comedy in which Akshay will play the role of a magician alongside three female leads. This film is based on black magic. It will be released in theaters on 2 April 2026.
