Bhoot Bangla seems to be gaining good traction on its second day at the Indian box office. The film is running about 40 percent ahead of Friday through matinee shows on Saturday. This increase is expected to increase as the day progresses, with it likely to reach around 50 percent by the end of the day. This would mean Rs. 17-17.50 crore net day. With strong trend, it can reach or go above Rs. 18 crore nett.
The strongest surge is coming from the Northern Circuit, where the Delhi-NCR region usually sees a significant surge on Saturday. The first day was relatively low on these circuits, but they have come on board well today. Other “big-on-Saturday” locations like the Mumbai-Pune belt and Karnataka are also seeing strong growth. Meanwhile, Hindi belt states like Gujarat and Madhya Pradesh are also seeing a rise today, although an even bigger rise is expected on Sunday.
The Akshay Kumar starrer took a good start on Friday and its Saturday lead is even better news. The film’s two-day total earnings were around Rs. 32-33 crores, which essentially ensures Rs. More than 50 crores weekend. The film has the potential to make big money on Sunday. Hope the money will be repaid. Net mark of 20 crores. The final test will be how it goes on Monday and then on the weekdays. Jolly LLB 3 had similar collections and trends in the first weekend, but the weekday business was not as strong, due to which it did not become a hit. Bhoot Bangla will aim to change that, and if he does so, he will have an open chance to score.
The film is made at a controlled cost and has a good amount of non-theatrical recovery. The beginning abroad is also encouraging. Overall the outlook is positive at this time. The industry is currently on a high due to the historic success of Dhurandhar: The Revenge. If Bhoot Bungalow is successful, it will help carry that momentum forward.
