Karan Sharma’s fantasy romantic comedy forgot and waived, showing encouraging legs at the box office despite its upset release journey. Starring Rajkumar Rao, Vamika Gabbi, Seema Pahava, and more, the film has recorded a positive jump on day 2, collecting an estimated 9 crore network, which is above Rs 7 crore on its early day. It brings the film to the net of two days of the film.
The film’s bounce indicates a strong word of mouth in urban and rural centers, with the audience appreciated the loop concept of time mixed with small towns of attractions and romance. Set in Varanasi, forgiveness follows forgiven Ranjan (Rao), who is a government employee who was caught in a bizarre time loop on the day of his turmeric celebrations with Titley (Gabbi). As Ranjan survives for more and more time on the same day, while Titley remains unknown, the film examines its emotional conflicts and churns the comedy with her efforts to get rid of the cycle.
Box Office Collection Breakdown:
Day | Collection |
day 1 | 7 crores rupees |
Day 2 | 9 crores |
Total | 16 crores rupees |
For those who are not in the loop and are thinking about the upset release journey above, the film was not almost released on a big screen and moved directly towards Digital. Originally slated for release on 9 May 2025, the manufacturers suddenly announced a direct-to-digital debut on the Amazon Prime Video on 16 May, citing the then political atmosphere in the country. The move triggered a legal controversy with the multiplex chain PVR Inox, which claimed a large -scale loss due to the last minute change and filed a case against Madock films.
On 9 May, the Bombay High Court gave an interim relief to the exhibitions and stopped the production house from starting the film on any non-drainage platform before the eight-week window. Eventually, the two parties resolved the matter, and it was jointly announced that the mistake would be forgiven in theaters on 23 May, with a digital premiere on the prime video scheduled on 6 June after a two -week dramatic run on 6 June.
