Bhabhiji is at home! The latest Hindi comedy film Fun on the Run failed to register any growth at the box office. The film recorded a big decline on its first Monday. It earned only Rs. Collected. 10 lakh on the fourth day, making its 4-day earning Rs. Earning 80 lakhs at Indian box office.
The Asif Shaikh and Rohitashv Gaur led film should have remained flat if not booming. The film not only had a slow start but also failed to impress the audience. Word-of-mouth is average, which is why it could not see any growth. Had the film received a positive response, its box office picture would have been slightly better.
The film has some brand value due to its television IP, which is currently driving the business, however, this will not be enough for its fortunes at the box office. Based on current trends, Bhabiji Ghar Par Hai! Fun on the Run is poised to end around Rs. Earning Rs 1 crore at the Indian box office.
The benchmark of this film will be ‘Khichdi’, which also reached the big screen from the small screen. While Khichdi was a successful venture and later it also had a sequel.
