Nivin Pauly is all set to hit the theaters once again this year with the film Bethlehem Kudumba Unit. Directed by Premalu fame Girish Eddy, the actor has confirmed that the film will release during Onam 2026.

In a social media post, Nivin Pauly The release of Bethlehem Kudumba Unit was confirmed after completing the shooting of the film. The actor wrote, “It’s the finale for Bethlehem Kudumba Unit. Congratulations to the cast, crew and every beautiful soul behind the scenes. BKU is in theaters this Onam. Stay tuned for updates!”

Bethlehem Kudumba Unit It is expected to be a romantic comedy starring Nivin Pauly in the lead role and Mamitha Baiju as the co-lead. Interestingly, this project was announced some time ago after speculations that Premalu 2 had been shelved.
Although further details about the film have been kept under wraps, it is co-produced by Fahadh Faasil, Dileesh Pothan and Syam Pushkaran under the banner of Bhavana Studios.
Earlier, Dulquer Salmaan’s I Am Game also completed its shooting after more than 100 days of production. After the completion of filming, the film was announced to be released in Onam 2026.
Additionally, while Bethlehem Kudumba Unit and I Am Game have not yet decided on an exact release date, Prithviraj Sukumaran’s action drama Caliphate Scheduled to release on August 20, 2026, on the occasion of Onam. With multiple major films targeting the same festival window, there is currently a possibility of a three-way box office clash.
Nivin Pauly’s workfront
Nivin Pauly was last seen in the lead role in Pratichhaya. B. Directed by Unnikrishnan, the drama thriller tells the story of a tech entrepreneur turned strategist who is also the son of the Chief Minister of Kerala. Following the death of her father, her life takes a dramatic turn as a result of a dangerous conspiracy hatched by a ruthless media tycoon.
As the opposition attempts to exploit the conspiracy to their advantage and destabilize the political scenario, the entrepreneur takes up the responsibility of exposing the strategic games played by the conspirators to malign his father’s name. He leads the fight against them, using his intelligence and skills to protect his father’s legacy and honor.
Apart from Nivin Pauly, the film also stars Sharaf U Dheen, Balachandra Menon, Harishree Ashokan, Maniyanpila Raju, Ann Augustine and others in lead roles.
