Bengali actor Subhashree Ganguly and his younger son Yuvan are stuck in Dubai amid rising tensions following Iranian attacks in the region. His family is hopeful of his safe return.

Bengali actress Subhashree Ganguly and her younger son Yuvan are currently stranded in Dubai amid rising tensions in the region following the Iranian attacks, her family confirmed on Sunday.
Subhashree had gone to Dubai for a holiday with her son and reached the city on Saturday. The situation reportedly worsened soon thereafter, leading local authorities to issue advisories to residents in some areas to stay indoors.

Her husband, film producer and Trinamool Congress MLA Raj Chakraborty, said the actor and their son are staying in a hotel in Palm Jumeirah. talking to PTIHe expressed concern over their safety, especially as Yuvan was traveling with them.
“They arrived in Dubai on Saturday for a holiday. Since then, the situation has become complicated. Since Yuvan is with them, the worry is even greater. They are staying in the Palm Jumeirah. An explosion was reported near their hotel and authorities have advised people not to come out of their homes,” Chakraborty said.
He said that Dubai-based friends and relatives are supporting Subhashree and Yuvan. “We have friends and relatives there taking care of them. We are worried, but not panicked,” he said.
Chakraborty is currently in Kolkata with the couple’s daughter Yalini. When asked if any government assistance has been sought to facilitate their return, he said the family has not yet reached out for official help and is hoping that the situation will stabilize soon.
“We have not sought any government help yet. We are hopeful that they will return home safely,” he said.
On Saturday, Iran reportedly carried out attacks targeting locations in Abu Dhabi and Dubai in the United Arab Emirates as well as Riyadh in Saudi Arabia and Doha in Qatar, escalating tensions across the region and disrupting travel.
According to sources, other Indians stranded in the affected areas include actor Sonal Chauhan, badminton star PV Sindhu and members of the Indian basketball team.
