Bobby Deol has revealed that after hearing the story of Prakash Jha’s Ashram series and its intimate scenes, he first told his wife Tanya about it.

Director Prakash Jha ashram The series has emerged as an important catalyst in promoting Bobby Deol’s comeback in recent years. He revealed that he initially discussed the show’s intimate scenes exclusively with his wife, interior and fashion designer Tanya Deol.

In a recent interview on Shekhar Tonite hosted by actor Shekhar Suman, Bobby said that he spoke to his wife first after hearing the story of Ashram, because he wanted to tell her about the intimate scenes of the show before anyone else.

The actor said that he did not tell his father, mother or brother about the project. ashram The actor admitted that his wife had come to know earlier, if she had known later he would have been in trouble.

Bobby said, “First of all, when I heard the story I didn’t tell my father, my mother or even my brother. I only told one person – my wife. I had to tell her; otherwise, if she had found out later, I would have been in trouble. Whatever I am today is because of my wife. When I was going through bad times, she took care of the entire house. I feel she is my backbone.”

In this show, Bobby became emotional remembering his late father Dharmendra. During the conversation, Shekhar compared the father figure to a huge tree, under whose shade the entire family feels safe.

Bobby responded by talking about Shekhar’s personal loss and said that such pain never leaves a person completely.

Referring to the death of Shekhar’s elder son at an early age, he said, “You have lost someone very important in your life, and I know the pain you must have gone through. I don’t think anyone can really get over that.”

Bobby will next be seen in Anurag Kashyap’s film MonkeySet for theatrical release on June 5, 2026.
