Television actor Mohit Malik, who has been a part of many popular shows, recently revealed in a podcast that he had no work for two and a half years before signing Pratigya. The actor shared the challenges he faced during this time and also said that he was forced to sell the house he had bought on loan for himself and his wife Aditi Malik.

Mohit Malik shared in Digital Commentary’s Unfolding Talent podcast that he was out of work for about two and a half years before he got the lead male role in Pratigya. Calling it the ‘toughest time’, he said, “I got married in 2010 and then I was out of work for two and a half years. I had bought a house thinking that Aditi would come to this new house. I spent the money.” And had taken a loan and had a hard time paying the EMIs (Easy Monthly Installment), eventually, I had to sell that house and get somewhere else (a house), I luckily got this role and to be honest I got very little “I’m doing good before I get the money.”

Looking at the positive side, she said, “Adite and my bond became stronger, the way she supported me. Then, Pratya came to me. However, no one was ready to give me a good amount as I had no work. Wasn’t.”

When asked if the offers stopped coming in because of the amount he was charging, he clarified that it was not so. She then revealed, “On the day of my wedding, I was replaced. I still remember it. But it’s okay, such things happen and after all it was my wedding. But then, nothing for two and a half years Happened.” My way. So, Pratigya was the turning point for me because the time I spent without work taught me a lot.”
