Bangladeshi student who led the protest against Sheikh Hasina Launch Party

Bangladeshi students have played an important role in overthrowing the government last year, announced a new political party, which is the latest groups in hot political jestaling before the expected elections.

The new Republic Chhatra Sangsad, or Democratic Students Council consists of prominent organizers of powerful students, who are the leading organizers of the discrimination (SAD) group, who overthrew former iron Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina in August.

Politics in Bangladesh is notorious frightening and other students accused him of reducing the revolution.

Disputes over representation led to physical clashes between new group members when its name was unveiled on Wednesday.

Other tragic leaders – those members who were included in the interim government, who took over after Hasina’s fleeing India – expected to start another separate party on Friday.

Ganatantrik Chhatra Sangsad also includes students affiliated to the young wing of Awami League of Hasina in the east.

Zahid Ahsan, a new group leader, told AFP, “Adjusting students from Awami League, we ensured that none of them were involved in mass murder or torture during revolution.”

“We are dedicated to protecting student rights,” he said, he wanted to maintain the “spirit of that big movement” who ralled to end Hasina’s autocratic grip.

Hasina, who is in the exile in India, has defined an arrest warrant from Dhaka to face allegations that include allegations of crimes against humanity.

More than 150 people were injured in clashes between rival student groups this month.

The Nobel Prize winner Microfinance Pioneer Muhammad Yunus, who is head of the acting government, has said that the general elections will be held at the end of 2025 or in early 2026.

Bangladesh Nationalist Party, Hasina’s long -standing rival, is expected to dominate the elections widely.
