In short

  • AICWA urged PM Modi to ban Pakistani channels and social media in India
  • The re -appearance of the accounts of Pakistani artists created a strong objection
  • Demand included digital blackout and a permanent cultural disconnect

The All India Cine Workers Association (AICWA) wrote a letter to PM Modi on Wednesday, demanding a complete ban on Pakistani channels and social media accounts in India. This development came on the same day when many Pakistani YouTuber channels and Instagram’s Instagram accounts began to appear on social media.

The letter appealed to the government to respect the lost life in the initiative attack earlier this year. It has also been mentioned that “completely cutting Pakistan will have a zero negative impact on our economy or entertainment industry.”

The note also referred to a “handful of sympathetic people”, which can try to “dilute” India’s resistance against cross -border terrorism.

“We, the people of India – all 140 crore citizens – come united against Pakistan’s opposition. While a handful of sympathy can try to dilute this stance, the nation’s collective voice is stronger than any lobby or appeasement group (SIC),” it reads.

Condemning Pakistan’s long -term association with terrorism, the film body referred to the re -appearance of Pakistani channels in India, “A direct insult to the sacrifice of our martyred soldiers and a emotional attack on every Indian that lost a love in terrorist attacks.”

“As long as the Pakistani blood is in the hands of our enemies, no trace of Pakistan will be allowed on Indian soil-not on the screen, not in our films, and not on our social media,” The film body declared the visibility of these restricted accounts in India as “absolutely acceptable”.

Aicwa shared that it would continue to represent India’s tough stance against Pakistan-funded terrorism, which does not include no visibility permission to Pakistani artists in the country.

He said, “We will continue to protest, protest and oppose any attempt to normalize cultural relations with Pakistan. The ban on Pakistani artists and material will never be lifted until Pakistan continues to export terrorism on our land,” he said.

The letter further referred to a three-point list, in which the PM was urged to announce ‘permanent cultural disconnect from Pakistan’.

Mentioned letter:

  1. “Apply the immediate nationwide digital blackout of all Pakistani social media accounts and media channels.
  2. In Indian media, OTT platforms and advertisements, ban all future future support or promotion related to Pakistani citizens.
  3. As an honor of the Indian armed forces and the families of our martyrs, declare a permanent cultural disconnect from Pakistan. ,

The note was signed by the film body, developing the ‘Nation First’ spirit.

On July 2, Instagram accounts of many Pakistani artists, including Saba Qamar, Mavra Hocain, Ahad Raza Mir, Yumna Zaidi and Danish Taimur, in which others began to appear in India. Even many YouTube channels like TV, Eri Digital and Har Pal Jio were made available to stream again.

The ban claimed 26 innocent lives earlier this year, with 26 innocent lives, mostly tourists. India launched Operation Sindoor and destroyed terrorist centers in Pakistan and Pakistan -occupied Kashmir, and also banned all the border associations including creative cooperation.

The Ministry of Information and Broadcasting remains to react to Pakistani channels and celebrity accounts in India despite the ban.
