The upcoming slices-off-life family-draat ‘Bakait’ on the Zee5 revealed the heartiest emotional story of a middle class family in Ghaziabad. The new show shows how love and connection in the house caught between chaos and generation differences prevail.
‘Bakiti’ is established in Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh. It politely describes the story of the close Qataria family. 21 -year -old Naina (Tanya Sharma) is ambitious and grounded, but when she is forced to share space with her younger brother Bharat (Aditya Shukla), her world suddenly gets interrupted. Bharat’s passion for cricket and mischievous personality leads to his daily squabals with Naina. Their parents Sanjay (Rajesh Telng) and Sushma (Sheeba Chafdha) inspect stress by associated with uninterrupted grief and financial instability.
As the Kataria family struggles with rising expenses and difficult decisions, tension erupted in generations. The maternal grandfather looks for a place while Bharat tests his boundaries. But the struggle does not stop at the children – there is a deep division between Sanjay and his younger brother Ajay. Their constant push and bridge, layered with everyday chaos and conflict approach, Kataria makes the heart of the house.

Speaking about the show, director Ameet Guptha shared, ” Bakiti ‘was born from the kind of conversation that all of us were around the dining tables and roof footsteps – about space, sacrifice, and calm flexibility that every Indian house defines. The purpose was never big, which is really bigger, that is really small, to hold the family. “
He added, “We wanted to tell the story, with natural camera work, real -time conversation, and feelings, which are coming out without pomp.
Sharing his experience, actor Sheeba Chaddha said, “Being a part of ‘Bakiti’ felt that to step into a world that is incredibly familiar, but rarely shown with such honesty.”
“The Kataria family reflects love, everyday struggle, and calm strength without defining any Indian homes. Playing the role of Sushma reminded me how laughter and love can also thrive in chaos. I am thrilled to bring this trusted story with such a Hardik team to life.
Actor Rajesh Telung also shared, “‘Basti’ is a story that lives like a memory from his past.
Tailong is known for its roles in ‘Mukkabaz’, ‘Iyeri’, ‘Commando 3’ (2019), ‘Panga’ (2020) and ‘Ulaj’ (2024).
She added, “There is beauty everyday, and this chain catchs it very heartily. I feel grateful to reunite with Sheeba ji and work with a team that gives importance to nuances, humor and gentle mess of family life.”
Chaddha is known in films such as ‘Badhai Ho’ (2018), ‘Badhai Do’ (2019), ‘Bad News’ (2024) and ‘Baby John’ (2024).
On August 1, 2025, ‘Bakiti’ will premiere on Zee5.
