Baaghi 4 vs Bengal Files Box Office Day 1: Tiger Shroff’s Action Domite
‘Baghi 4’ and ‘The Bengal files’ collided with an open performance at the box office. While Tiger Shroff’s action-pack ‘Baghi 4’ impressed with a strong collection, Vivek Agnihotri’s complex drama struggled to create an impact amidst strict competition.

Two of Bollywood’s two most anticipated films – Tiger Shroff’s’ Baaghi 4 ‘and Vivek Agnihotri’s’ The Bengal files – released on September 5, 2025, horn at the box office. While the two arrived with the buzz, their early day performance told very different stories.
‘Baghi 4’, which begs Tiger Shroff against Sanjay Dutt in a high-voltage action shodown and introduces Harnaz Sandhu in his Bollywood debut, made a strong-to-a strong start.
Despite trade predictions worth Rs 5-8 crore, the film grossed Rs 12 crore on day 1. A total of Rs 300 crore action spastal recorded a total of 28.32 percent occupation, with the highest polling at the night show at 37.23 percent. However, the film’s heavy violence has drawn a ‘adult’ classification, which limits the number of audiences for audiences under 18.
In contrast, Vivek Agnihotri’s ‘The Bengal files’ were weakly opened with a collection of just Rs 1.75 crore. The characteristic of veteran actors Mithun Chakraborty and Anupam Kher, the film has struggled to find traction, weighed by a complex story.
The India Today review mentions that its central theme was “diluted with a lot of complicated stories,” with its intended message on ideological uncertainties and political crimes “disappear in many narratives”.
Both films have been given significant welcome. ‘Baghi 4’ has been blamed for a lot of rely on the formula action, while the story of ‘Bengal files’ has been criticized for lack of focus. Connecting their challenges, both titles have to face hard competition from international release ‘Konturing: The Last Rights’ and South Indian Biggies ‘Madharsi’ and ‘Gati’.
As the weekend approaches the weekend, those who monitor the business say that the speed of ‘Tagi 4’ will be tested, while the ‘Bengal files’ will require a strong word-mouth to recover from its slow start. Everyone’s eyes are now on whether Tiger Shroff’s action franchise can maintain its speed, or if Vivek Agnihotri’s play gets a top audience despite shocks.
