At a time when Bollywood often bows more in attractive heartbeat than timeless tunes, the declaration of Varahapan 2 has provoked enthusiasm among Emraan Hashmi and fans of indifferent Hindi film music. The sequel to the 2007 creed hit Awaran was officially revealed on Imran’s 46th birthday. While the film itself is currently in pre-production, which has already attracted our attention, it is Hashmi’s promise to revive the intimate music era, which once defined his filmography.
During an interview with Siddharth Kannan recently, when he was asked if he remembers the emotional, raga-operated music of his earlier films, Imran did not keep back. Imran spoke emotionally about his cooperation with the late singer KK, called his loss a major setback for the music world and said that there could be no replacement for talent like him.
Directed by Nitin Kakkar and written by Bilal Siddiqui, Varaharapan will be a hit in theaters on April 3, 2026. It is supported by Visesh Films. The same banner that produced origin and marks a return to a style that Imran helped make popular with his moody performance and acute romantic storylines. While the sequel is the goal from where the Avrapan left, the fans are looking forward to the music equally, which Emraan insists that a generation will echo the tunes that define a generation.
In addition to Awarapan 2, Emraan has several other projects, including Pawan Kalyan and Priyanka Mohan with her Telugu debut OG. He is also part of the G2, which is the much awaited sequel for Gudachari and stars in the BSF drama series ground zero.
